This. So much this. A lot of studios in Japan have been taken over by marketing executives and people who don't know anything about game design. Konami is one of these casualties. Any attempt at a remake would be marketing's attempt at fanservice with no idea of what really made the game good. The guy who made Castlevania into Castlevania is not with Konami. He now does the Bloodstained series.
I'd love to see an HD version with the same sprite art, just with the ability to upscale to modern screens. But you know it would go wrong. We're all better off just playing Bloodstained instead of wishing for a remake at this point.
