one thing I thought was always bullshit was how easy it was to have a finger or toe ripped off. like it would happen within an hour in so many games I tried making. Also at the time all you could do to fix it was to make prosthetic hands and it was fairly late tech. I downloaded a mod that I think fixed it but I still think it was bullshit and really unnecessary. couple that with the difficulty being tied directly to how much loot or "value" you accrued every story made it feel like progressing felt kinda not worth the time. Like I'd be getting attacked by way harder enemies just because I had a shit load of food, thats not really fun IMO
