100k ultra in several days

Tell me why I shouldn't just bring a bag of chips with me other than those sugary gels ?
>the chips are high calorie
>high carbs
>will probably balance out my stomach vs the gels and prevent shitting myself

Also apparently some supplement magnesium for months prior. I'm just taking it daily a week before the event. Hope I don't cramp up to oblivion.
