This is actually why I keep campaigning for more co-op fighting game experiences, like the Raid Mode from DB FighterZ. It can be rough to get friends into a lobby because someone's always the best and someone's always the punching bag–but in a co-op environment, everybody succeeds or fails together. That's a much easier sell. I'm very optimistic about our odds of getting something like that with Marvel Tōkon.

Emma and Magik have a snowball's chance, but I don't think C&D or Sue are gonna happen. I think C&D only made it into Rivals because there's a dedicated healer role.
