Meanwhile in space, the Federation push out from Luna II with their largest massed fleet since the engagement at Loum eleven months prior. Despite being outnumbered and lacking a proper supply line, a scattered armada under the command of Augille Delaz pushes against the Federations fleet to liberate Gihren from his imprisonment.

Using the chaos to his advantage, Char's Gundam approaches an opening in Luna II's defenses to breach the base. Detecting the Gundam's movements and mistaking it for Ramba Ral based on the reports supplied to him, Blex orders his Magellan to focus its fire on the stolen machine.

Easily avoiding the barrage, Char fires a beam cleanly through the bridge of the Magellan, vaporizing Blex Forer.
