Or you could just, you know, not be a prideful fag and admit the previous one has been falsified, and that no one knows at the moment. That's what science would do, not modern basedence, but science would take that approach.
Philosophically speaking, there is absolutely no reason you need a place holder. In fact there are many reasons not to have one, such as, not looking like a bunch of total clowns defending ideas/models/theories which are obviously false.
