Sony has literally put itself in a negative feedback loop.

Cut staff to stay profitable...
Staff does nothing because they know they'd get fired anyway...
Game releases and its shit...
Sony shuts studio because the game bombed and employees refuse to work...
Sony raises prices to also make the difference...
High prices decrease console sales...
Cut staff to stay profitable...

And on and on, and Nintendo is the one that did this to Sony.
