Console is the main way to get GP, it's more expensive than PC (can charge for Live) and has more subs, it's not on PS or Switch. MS also get a 30% cut off every purchase on their store.

Usually if I enjoy a game THAT much, I'll double buy it on other platforms, e.g. I also have Slay the Spire on my phone.

I like how GamePass makes it frictionless to try new games. In the past I never would have bought Ninja Gaiden 2 Black because it's not the kind of game I usually play. Tried it on a whim and it was fantastic. Saw Cocoon getting some buzz and I didn't have to remember to purchase it during a Steam sale, I could just start playing it immediately. Now some games didn't hook me in the same way. South of Midnight is just not that good. But it only cost me a couple hours to try it out and come to that conclusion rather than forcing myself to play it out of a sunk cost mentality.

I enjoyed Starfield, Halo, Forza, and Indiana Jones. I also enjoyed HiFi Rush. Agree that Avowed is supremely mid and Hellblade is for pseuds. The Bethesda acquisition is what made me pull the trigger on GamePass because Bethesda publishes a ton of first-person games with immersive environments and tight controls and I just like how those games feel. Third-person games I usually want to be more character action or platforming oriented to justify their perspective.
