Was showing my friend my AR and the controls, he was doing fine with it learning the charging handle, mag release etc up until it came to the QD release on the red dot. For whatever reason he was convinced the lever pulls out upward instead of sideways, I stopped him to explain how it works and he keeps pulling it up. At that point I see the lever flexing like this dude is actually putting his gorilla strength into breaking this thing and I have to stop him to physically show myself doing it then give it back.
