In the mainline games, P3 and vanilla P4 does count, yes.
But pretty sure the remasters and next installments started slapping players with maliciously petty punishments (which defenders would cover up with "muh realism") for attempting to date more than gal, like P4 golden and both versions of P5.
P5X is the only one who actually managed to pull off the harem thing, being a gacha and all. That game's valentines scene is what vanilla P5 should've done with theirs, honestly.
