In this case Shadowrun is much better desu, the three games btw, the crew you're put with tends to care about you at every turn, I would say this is more evident in Dragonfall also with the fact that you help your crew either pursue a better path in life or a worse path, similar to what you could do in Mass Effect where you assist your friends to become more Renegade or Paragon based on your actions.
Also the endings while inline of Cyberpunk where the world just moves on after what you did, your crew and you at least get a proper sendoff.
People need to understand the world is what is shit in these settings, that doesn't mean the characters have shit endings by default where they just die in a blaze of glory.
Many people do survive which is why characters are Legends in the universe in first place.
