Honestly, the only reason why Neo-humans could ever "lose" but humans not is because they prioritize making humans suffer instead of their own survival. They should be capable of doing everything that humans are but better. There's only the technology gap from some worlds but they should be smart enough to reverse engineer/figure it out like lawless.
