It might get thinner over time, but if you made with distilled/disinfected water and kept it in an airtight container in the fridge it could last a long time without going bad because it's just water and polyethylene oxide. I put a little bit of one batch I made in a pill bottle and left it for almost a year at room temp and never saw anything grow in it, but didn't test it or anything.
