The debate about the right Minecraft version seems complicated. My oldest son is 7yo now and is getting really interested in Minecraft just through the school yard. At one point in the near future I'll have to get him access to an offline machine with it, I think. But what version should I get him (I'll just assume I can easily pirate all past ones)? While I was here, when Notch was posting aon /v/, I myself never got into Minecraft. A few months ago most anons seemed to prefer 1.12 or 1.13 I think. Here in this thread 1.6 seems to be liked the most. Should I get that one? What about mods?
