4's so approachable as an entrypoint because it's near impossible to get a bricked team setup, but a lot of the tools they employ to that end (locked classes, level locked skills) are super heavy handed. not as heavy as normal/picnic stat mods, though.
wonder if Next will be an easier game on account of being the first novel title on a new platform/audience. wonder if Next is even in development
