Even if it's somehow an intelligent being, it'll still shine for everyone on Earth regardless

If there's a sun god, I don't think they'd care about being worshiped either, because if they did then they'd make the sun go out to punish the unbelievers

I'm not saying not to worship the sun, though, by all means pay your respects to the source of all life on Earth, and you're right about consciousness
