Anonymous, the Many were out here murdering people by the dozens. Diego has a real complex over his dad being shit, and he himself states at the start of the game he will not be evaded, he will not be corrupted and he will not be bought. He really wanted to redeem himself so the call of the Many was incredibly seductive as per his own words since they felt so compelling with the ability to execute things, but again, really big redemption complex for his dad being a spineless worm, so he's hamming it up as a new convert.
