I loved the depiction of the Erlkonig when I first heard it and thought the imagery of a fae obsessed with claiming the life of a boy and the frantic pace of the music symbolizing the father's desperation to rush him to safety lended itself well in portraying it as a drawn out journey you undertake in a video game! I feel like we're operating on the same wavelength here.
