The board is full of, and targeted by, outsiders who hate pony, hate the board, and want it to die, and they're allowed to shit up the board and attack everything anyone likes because the administration of the site hates the board too.
If you go to one of the conventions (also targets these groups attack) or the anniversary stream or any such hangouts, you'll see a very different reaction to artists, videomakers, musicians, etc.
If the board had per-thread IDs (reminder that the ONLY people who are against this concept and think it "removes anonymity" to have a ~6 character moniker next to Anonymous in a single thread are the people who having IDs would hamper: the spammers, samefags, consensus crackers, and trolls) you'd see a lot less of this 'EVERYTHING IS SHIT FUCK YOU AND DIE" slop.
