While I still stand by the fact that they probably never meant to make it a feature, it does feel like a missed opportunity to make a v-pet with online capabilities but no means of using them to directly interact with other Tama. I don't mind the 3d models, they can look cute sometimes. We've still got the actual tama devices for the 2d sprites, we should really start worrying when they decide to release a 3d tama though..
