Id: Invaded would make a good medium length platformer. You could alternate between exploring Id Wells and the results of the investigations in the real world, but I think for gameplay purposes, it make make more sense if your character is kidnapped by an organization using stolen connection to the Mizuhanome and forcing you to solve them. You have to piece together what they're doing and why from what you see in the wells.
