Not exactly sure what you mean when you say class locks but you should be able to learn how to make chairs if you started as a doctor or to become a doctor if you got the right books. Anyway I've been using this mod lately and it feels right along with starting gear. Though the latter mod could use tweaks (rangers carry guns irl but don't start with one, instead having a trap for some reason?)
