If the steam guide is to be believed, breaking dissent is additive to a bunch of other damage nodes that stack additively. If you are primarily running around shotgunning things in the head, you will neither appreciate the tax nodes to reach it, nor necessarily get that much use out of the aura itself.
Since you're not taking the dog, the dog aura is completely pointless.

I don't think the reload aura is all that good and would probably still prefer the stagger damage, especially when factoring in how good concussive and related blessings are, but if going for a purely ranged focus build for some reason, it theoretically has a use.
