Your lens is an AF-D lens which requires the camera body to have an autofocus motor that connects to the lens, which the cheaper D3xxx and D5xxxx series don't have. None of your settings are going to work. Go for AF-S lenses where the autofocus motor is in the lens itself. Or stick to manual focus for figgie shooting as you can take your time.
