Oh, you sillies, you think Disney was bad, you should read the original Expanded Universe novels where Palpatine comes back TWICE thanks to cloning and there's all sorts of other insane shit like the Yuuzan Vong. The only worthwhile story in the old EU was the Grand Admiral Thrawn trilogy, and he's so liked they brought him into the new canon.
