A big factor with league is that you and your teammates' mistakes are felt immediately and compound off of each other. Making mistakes in other games leads to just losing objectives or getting pushed in for a bit. Mistakes in league literally make the other guy permanently stronger. A handful of deaths and now that guy is a Super Saiyan that can't be dealt with alone. And it's honestly even more likely to happen in normal games.
