most of Russians have a Jihadi-like mindset and actually believe that it is Russia's destiny to subjugate neighbouring countries, indoctrinate their population and send them to subjugate further neighbouring countries. This quasi-religious mindset is very widespread among Russians, so they are actually in favor of this war, recent wars or any future war, they only count on their luck not being drafted for being ethnically Russian, having important skills and living in St Petersburg or Moscow.
