Engineering is a "work smart, not hard" industry. It's at the core of everything we do. It's why most of us picked this and not research science or medicine or law. We work smart, we like to make things quicker, more efficient, more reliable, we're focused on optimizing processes to create better outcomes.
This is why Indians suck at it. They don't have a work smart mentality, they just do things. They would rather grab a handful of dirt and carry it to the top of the mountain over and over again before inventing a wheelbarrow. They would rather shovel snow with a spoon than invent the shovel. They don't stop and think about design, innovation, standards, they just set about doing the thing, and it ironically makes everything much worse.
Every corporation inevitably learns this, usually too late. Oh yeah they're working 10 hour days, it's just that they aren't doing anything useful and the problem keeps compounding and snowballing.
Software itself became a thing because white men were tired of doing everything by hand, with paper, and endless folders and processes and clerks involved, so they automated it all. Indians would have never automated it all, they would still be doing it with paper. This is a severe, critical difference between white/European men and Indians.

Brown people have high time preference. They look for the quickest, dirtiest, easy way to do anything at any given time. The concept of deliberation, forward thinking, which leads to standards and processes that follow a certain order or pattern, is a white/east asian thing exclusively. These are the only people capable of sitting down and thinking "what do I need to plan out now to make it easier and more organized in the future and not create a mess?"
