SS and TotK disprove that. Ganondorf can turn into Ganon in OoT and TP with the power of the Triforce, but not every Ganon is Ganondorf. Ganon is the incarnation of Demise's curse. Ganondorf is just a Gerudo king that sometimes turns into Ganon and sometimes doesn't.
