This is the Oblivion first playthrough experience no matter when you first play it.
The game gives a pretty good first impression but after your 5th dungeon you realize it's all going to be the same cookie cutter dogshit.
The awful VA and dialogue for quests doesn't help either.
You have to actively not care about either of those aspects to enjoy Oblivion for more than a few hours.
