I'll be honest, I don't know what Americans even mean by "Hispanic" or "white". Italians can look as dark as pic rel yet they're "white" but somehow Spaniards are an entirely different thing. Weird.

Pic rel is Michael Knowles. He claims he's Italian. Due to his English last name he's considered "white" in the US. But if his name were Miguel Cáceres or some other Spanish last name he wouldn't be viewed as "white".
