>every day i get up at 7 AM, walk out of my room, take the big stairwell next to my room down to the first floor and either make breakfast for myself and wait for my parents to take me to school or get breakfast from my parents and then go to school
>very light sleeper and very impatient with my mandated bed/wakeup hours so i know every step of this process in detail and understand how everything is going to be every time i wake up
>wake up one morning
>everything is in black and white
>i don't mean everything is excessively bright and it's washing out the colors or that the house had a monochromatic color scheme that appeared black-and-white because of some similar issue, i mean the world is literally in greyscale, like Escape From Tomorrow
>my family decorated the stairwell with a large ornate colorful blanket that was colored pink, green and orange, among others - it has absolutely no color now, so i know it's not just the lighting
>everything is also completely silent
>no woodland ambience, no wind, no nearby cars or airplanes, no intermittent noise from the radio tower or fire department or whatever, nothing
>obviously scared, so i call for my parents, who would be asleep but could easily be woken up - we're a matter of metres apart and it's worked before
>nothing
>call again
>nothing
>this goes on for about two minutes
>i do not remember them opening the door
>i do not remember them making contact with me
>i do not remember walking downstairs
>all i remember is being in bed with them, being comforted, and then go school
