i have no issues with the depiction of family drama as a concept, it's a completely logical and realistic source of conflict that is (unfortunately) inherently relatable to a part of the audience, kids included. doremi is a great example that you listed, aiko's family drama is one of the consistent emotional highpoints throughout the entire show, every time she gets an episode about her family situation it's really poignant and well done. definitely thats the example i love the most, glad you listed it.
