To be fair, the production was rushed because Universal wanted the movie for this year. The mutadons replaced the raptors at the last second, as evidenced by the marketing. They also changed the designs of most of the dinos after the reactions from the first trailer, like giving the spinos slightly larger necks. All the bad stuff is likely because of the rushed production
