Anyone who says 90's is clearly underage and wasn't there. Highest violent crime rate in the city's history. Huge homelessness and poverty problem. Even worse than it is now. The whole city reeked of piss and uncatted car fumes. Nobody wanted to "be" there except for tourists. Fuck off with your rose-tinted pre-9/11 glasses, the city sucked then and it still sucks today.
