he's more complaining that the game has the "climbing" mechanic but doesn't actually use it even when it might make sense from a combat perspective (i.e. climbing the towers to kill the guy on top)
he's also right about most things about the game from a new player perspective, Rise basically gimped the game's growth forever.
Yeah, I know that the combat against appropriately leveled bosses is good as hell and it doesn't actually take that long to get there and to expect everything until then to be a boring slog but it's stupid to expect any new player to take your word for that and be fine with mashing left click through the majority of the game's story the first time they play it. Feels like they would have been way better off just adding an alternative pipeline for veteran players to go down that got them through all of that quicker than completely gutting and remaking all of the old content for every new player.
