I want to think this is Marvel "listening", but honestly, none of this matters. Even if MJ and Peter get back together in the future, it won't matter because the powers that be will always tear them apart again, because there is no permanence. Nothing ever stays in comics, especially for Spider-Man. He will never find stability in his life, and will always be pulled around by the writers, editors, or whoever is making the ultimate calls. Misery porn is the only thing ever on the menu, because rage bait sells.
