Yugioh archetypes blend together in a big ball of generic anime shit, early Yugioh had some neat occult vibes going on but they got dropped when the original author became less involved and creative control shifted to Konami. Digimon, Pokemon, One Piece, and Lorcana all have existing design blueprints to follow and are only ever as good or as bad as their source material allows them to be. Magic falls victim to it's regular cards looking relatively plain but there are so many good looking alt arts printed for everything these days that if you don't like one version of a card there's bound to be another one that looks better.
