Bros, I think I might be on to something. Commander damage did it, too.
>>96246106It's a solid bracket 3 commander that dropped in a set full of pushed dragon nonsense which does much better being in the 99 of a fair Isshin deck. There's nothing to talk about, it's perfectly acceptable for what it's built for. What else do you want?
>draft up ojer axonil burn deck

I still want to do something burn/aggro though. Pic rel feels more fun, and more interactive with the opponents boardstate too.

when do people here finally realize that commander isnt the only format, and by far not the first?
Green isnt that great in other format, but the slower nature and Singleton restriction plays directly into Greens strengths
5 Color legendaries need to be busted, because running 5 colors is an actual drawback in real formats, and not an advantage
designing cards directly for commander is a horribly rancid idea and will continue to be this formats downfall, and has always went against what makes this shitshow multiplayer so fun
>>96246968Grave Troll is shit commander but busted elsewhere.
>>96246980as are most aggro 1/1s in red, it works both ways
>>96246980you saying Golgari Grave Troll - mill 6 is shit in commander?
Holy retard
>>96246968>5 colors is a drawback in real formatsYou mean the formats with fetches legal, trivializing colorfixing because any fetch turns into any dual? Even Standard decks are able to run domain piles thanks to the abundance of untapped duals, it's just not worthwhile because control as an archetype has been dead in the water for years so decks are entirely focused on the first 3 turns.
>>96246990Dredge 6 in a 60 cards deck with four copies is different than dredging in a 99 cards deck with singleton.

Tutors only care about the GC listing, and number in deck. And unless you can control where the card your grabbing is, or you have so much redundancy that exile 13 doesn't matter, it's the single worst tutor we have.
Runo-player here, two rules questions
>if I copy an attacking Conquerors Galleon, do I create two conquerors footholds?
>if I copy a Vesuvan Drifter that is a copy of a Hullbreaker Horror, what copies do I create, how many, and do they change at end of turn?
>>96247106banger with the new goyf
>>96247148No
1 copy of hullbreaker, the original drifter changes back at end of turn.
>>96247148>no, you only get the one. The flip trigger for galleon exiles then flips, fizzling the token >you get 2 Hullbreaker with the special copy text, which can either stay as they are, or change next combat like the vesuvan can
>>96247106So does warp allow you to cast card if it's exiled this way?
I assume not
>>96247219Warp is like adventure you need to pay the warp cost and have it resolve to play from warp
>Casually making 20+ mana in your path
>>96247229i feel like this is a trap
20+ power for charge counters are no silly business
>>96247217This is wrong. The attacking token doesn't flip because galleon is an attack trigger. It will exile itself when jt next attacks
When you copy a copied card you only retain the copy characteristics. So you'd get a hullbreaker with flying. It wouldn't change back at end of turn.
>>96246292Lantern is fun for me

>>96247229will run into the same issue as super-proliferated astral cornucopia that the game is pretty much over by the time you get there

>>96247313this is at least somewhat true in commander. in 1v1, the opportunity cost of not attacking when you can is huge

>>96247318you can only station on sorcery speed
>>96247323i keep forgetting that
yeah its even worse in commander. in 1v3, the opportunity cost of not blocking when you can is huge
>>96247330i mean at best you screw over the people with goad decks since MP1 you can station the crow tokens or whatever else goaded your actual creatures
>>96247236>>96247148So
>you get one token galleon that canโt turn into a foothold, and fizzles itself if it attacks>you get two Hullbreakers with flying, without the end of turn clauseIf I understand it correctly, the vesuvan end of turn clause is applied to that specific card instance, like a Giant Growth would be, and doesnโt get copied. The flying is added to the card text so to speak, and the card text informs the copy.
I did not expect the flying to stick around, thatโs good to know.

Maybe this is a retarded question to ask. I've recently been getting back into magic after not really playing it for a decade. I always used to play with friends and that's where I've mostly been playing since getting back into it a few months ago, however I don't get nearly the same amount of opportunities to play with them as we're all a lot busier out of uni.
I've noticed a lot of casual commander events at various stores on the wotc site. Are these events where you're being matched with people or is it just that the store has allotted that date/time to be for people who want to play commander?

Oros himself can gain a lot of life if given lifelink but the deck functions without him entirely. It's basically a highlander deck with a big dumb dragon that sits in the command zone unless I need him.
Since your deck will not have the consistency of a utility commander, it's smart to build of a strategy that has a lot of redundancy. I had no problems finding lifegain synergies for example or you could just tutor like a degenerate.

Even ignoring the fact he has a fucking mayhem cost, his ability itself fucking sucks. It's 1 ETB. They couldn't even make it when he enters OR attacks. He essentially wants to be blinked in the worst possible colors for blink. And then even suppose you do recur him some other way, you're getting a 3 mana or less creature with him that must attack and dies if it ever makes contact.
It's garbage. It's an effect you'd put on a particularly uninspiring uncommon.
>>96251988Yugioh archetypes blend together in a big ball of generic anime shit, early Yugioh had some neat occult vibes going on but they got dropped when the original author became less involved and creative control shifted to Konami. Digimon, Pokemon, One Piece, and Lorcana all have existing design blueprints to follow and are only ever as good or as bad as their source material allows them to be. thanks for coming to my tedtalk
>>96252526Tri-fetch lands.
>>96252481>They could show how they drew itAnd yet...they have not.
I don't care what an artist could hypothetically do. I am telling you as someone who understands this shit very well, the oddities in that art are not from weird choices or lack of skill, it is an AI literally not having an understanding of what it is trying to depict.
You cannot explain why 2 bones right next to each other that ought to be identical are not.
You cannot explain how the same skeletal feature appears on one bone correctly and then a different bone incorrectly.
You cannot explain why """the artist""" made the """decision""" to make the spinal column disappear below the collar bone, but did not do so for the ribs that are supposed to connect to the spinal column
Again, I get that people who aren't very artistically inclined and think "well yeah, I'm shit at drawing so other people would make completely inexplicable mistakes too!" but artists don't.
You know how they say for kids taking tests in school, when they get caught cheating it's not the questions they got right that flag them for cheating, it's the questions they got wrong. It's that. It's exactly fucking that. The AI is doing things that a person who sits down and even tries to draw a skeleton *poorly* would not think to do.
