The Reliant TW9 (Or ant) was popular with British councils for its low price, cheap running costs, ease of repair and the fact that the manufacturer would sell it as just a cab and chassis making conversion to various purposes very very easy.

Like many of Reliants vehicles the engine was basically just a motorbike engine and it had the three wheels and fiberglass body that were a hallmark of Reliants design MO.
