God is good. He is just, merciful, loyal and truthful, compassionate. Literally everything there is a person should strive to be in terms of character, He already is, and we are meant to be that way as well since He literally made us in His image.

Yes, I do my best to. However we can't flawlessly obtain His character by ourselves alone since there are times we will still be tempted to engage in things and behaviors we shouldn't, or we fall into them due to other things, but the important thing is to just not give up when you fail. Pick yourself up again, confess to God or simply just talk to him about how the things you have done or said made you feel, and that you know they are wrong, then ask Him to forgive you and to just bear with you through the tough times until you better manage to adjust your way of being to the things He actually wants of you and knows would ultimately make you be a better person, even if it's hard and takes a long time to get there.
