You can declare this as much as you want, but it just objetively isn't true for the vast majority of maps other than in Awakening, which is hated for that exact reason.

picrel is a composition of all of the maps in FE4. To be fair, they are some of the weakest maps gameplay wise in the series. Valuing scale over micro-level gameplay just tends to have that result.
