Identity politics started getting astroturfed by both sides in response to people protesting OWS and demanding systemic changes to our government. People were getting frighteningly united about holding our (((elites))) accountable so they poured in billions and poisoned every left wing movement with social justice warriors. They took some of the most gullible, easily-programmable people in the world: 20-something college students, and psyopped them into becoming left-wing NPCs with blue hair and shit. Which was fucking easy for them to do. And it worked because everybody hated those obnoxious idiots. They were some of the worst possible publicity any movement could have possibly ever had. It completely killed the momentum that OWS shit had and got people to stop talking about that stuff for almost 20 straight years. It's possibly one of the most successful psyops in world history
