I mean, have you?
Because I most definetly played Jugdral and I can assure you, that everything people say about the game and it's story is 90% side material and the actual meat and potatoes in the actual game is very very brief.
Same with Tellius. Only Ike, Mist, Titania, Soren and Elinica talk out of the main cast. Everyone else is has only a few base conversations and that's the end of it. It's nowhere close to being robust at all.
In all seriously, if you really want to see what I mean, try Super Robot Wars OGs for the PS2 with the english fan patch. It's very similar to fire emblem in the sense of it's focus on characters and as an SRPG, but you'll be amazed at the night and day difference the plot can make when it's actually dedicating all it's resources towards telling a good story.
