Late to the thread but after having read through it I believe you should avoid a roommate entirely and just save up for the couch. If you are dead set on it I definitely would avoid any of the posted applicants so far. One seems to be mentally ill/recovering addict and the other seems like ghetto trash. I would also be greatly concerned about bringing a stranger into my home with my disabled child.
