There is no "beginner's box" with a longbow. You're just looking at a normal unit pack. 36 EUR for a pack seems steep, but idk how the supply shortages do to tariffs are affecting European supply. Typical would be a few euros less. If all you want is just that one model, then just get the individual one off ebay or find a 3d print service and provide them an stl file.

Look on youtube for 500,000 different miniature painting guides and just pick one. If you want a simple one, then prime it in black, paint it whatever colors you want, and then add a black wash over the top. Easy peasy.

It isn't bigger here because it's primarily a table top game. The battletech thread on /tg/ is where most talk happens, but they don't really care about the video games. Literally nobody complains about the unseen designs coming from other series unless you're deliberately trolling. They're popular designs that still form the backbone of the setting.
