gonna beg my other bosses to let me spend up to 999$ on "R&D" "materials" to get mobile charting units working (i will take some junky Toughpads not currently in service but are in working order and get external antennae for them so they can use GPS with OpenCPN after installing unlicensed Win10 LTSC on them and spend the remaining budget on stylish chest-mount molle pouches for the tablets)
