I got completely burnt out last year and no amount of vacations helped. Best I can do is 1-2 hours of work and fucking around until the end of the day.
Thankfully the firm hired a bunch of zoomer devs whom I'm now "mentoring".
I now realized this is exactly what happened when I started working 10 years ago. The same dynamic of seemingly do-nothing seniors and juniors who work their asses off.
I'm now part of the cycle.
