Yeah for sure, it's a long time for kids to be living rough, and whilst i'm sure they're learning a lot of genuinely useful skills at the moment, they're also in their formative years and missing out on other important life stuff. I mean he's kept this up for almost four years now, that tells me he could keep this up indefinitely, hell that's long enough to actually establish yourself permanently off grid, grow crops etc, which means those kids could come out of the bush as adults and that's not going to be ideal.

Only option he has at this point that doesn't involve him losing his kids would be to get out of NZ and start fresh, rural aus, south east asia etc

Otherwise he'll have to bite the bullet and at the very least drop the kids off and stay on the run himself, but he clearly loves those kids.

Skimming articles i'm seeing words like "prominent" a lot, and it was also in Wellington, so politician maybe. If you've got any mates in the beehive I guarantee rumours would be buzzing and people would be noticing if someone prominent is missing. Who knows though, there's so much scum at the top.
