Favre also got worse. As did Marino. There is no guarantee Mahomes will follow one trajectory or the other. What is certain is he won't have the best receiving TE of all time for much longer, and that even with him his stats have been middling for the past couple seasons. And it's not a given he will have Reid, arguably the best offensive HC in NFL history, for that much longer either.
